Hi, I'm Kaitlyn

Smooth skin, easy upkeep, an hour that's yours.

I'm a Licensed Esthetician — facials and waxing are my craft, and I'm passionate about making waxing feel as quick and comfortable as possible, no matter what area you're treating.

I work clean, fast, and low-irritation. The hardest part of waxing is usually nerves — and once you sit down and we talk through what you want, the rest moves quickly.

You'll leave feeling smooth, polished, and ready to skip the razor for a few weeks.

Pre & post-care

A little prep makes waxing better.

Following these steps before and after your appointment helps you get the smoothest, longest-lasting result — with minimal irritation.

Before your wax

Prep

Quick things to know in the week leading up to your appointment.

  1. Hair length: about 1/4 inchHair needs to be at least a quarter inch (the size of a grain of rice) to grip the wax. Roughly 2 weeks of growth from your last shave.
  2. Skip retinol & exfoliating acidsPause prescription retinoids, glycolic, and salicylic for 3–5 days before — they thin the skin and increase the chance of lifting.
  3. Light exfoliation 24 hours outA gentle scrub the day before helps lift loose hair and unclogs follicles, which means a smoother wax and fewer ingrowns.
  4. Avoid sun & heatNo tanning beds, hot baths, or saunas in the 24 hours before — pores stay open longer and irritation runs higher.
After your wax

Smooth

The simple routine that keeps the result smooth and your skin happy for 3–4 weeks.

  1. No heat for 24 hoursSkip the gym, hot showers, saunas, hot tubs, and tanning. Pores are open — heat lets bacteria in and you'll see more bumps.
  2. Loose clothes, no frictionTight clothes rub freshly waxed skin and cause irritation. Loose, soft fabrics for the first 24 hours — and don't touch the area.
  3. Soothe with aloe or fragrance-free moisturizerCalms redness and keeps the skin barrier intact. Skip anything scented or with active ingredients for 48 hours.
  4. Exfoliate gently after 48 hoursA soft scrub or chemical exfoliant 2–3x/week prevents ingrowns and keeps the result smooth between appointments.
FAQ

Quick answers before you book.

Anything we missed? Text the salon — we usually reply within an hour during open days.

How often should I get waxed?
Most areas are best on a 3–4 week cadence — that matches the hair-growth cycle and is when results compound. With consistent waxing, hair gradually grows back finer and slower over time.
Will it hurt?
Honestly, the first time is the most intense — after that it gets noticeably easier as hair grows back finer. The wax we use is low-temperature and low-irritation, and Kaitlyn works fast so any sting is over in seconds.
How long do results last?
Typically 3–4 weeks of smooth skin, sometimes longer for areas like underarms and brows. Regrowth is finer than after shaving and easier to manage.
Will my hair grow back thicker?
No — that's a myth from shaving (which cuts hair at a blunt angle, making the regrowth feel coarser). Waxing pulls from the root, so over time hair often grows back finer and sparser.
Should I shave between appointments?
Try not to. Shaving resets the growth cycle and gives you uneven hair lengths, which makes the next wax less effective. Just ride out a few days of stubble — the result is much better.
Are you safe for sensitive skin?
Yes. Kaitlyn uses a gentle, low-irritation wax and tailors the prep + post-care to your skin. Tell us at booking if you have rosacea, eczema, or are particularly sensitive — we'll adjust.
What's your cancellation policy?
Life happens — please give us 24 hours' notice for cancellations or reschedules. No-shows and same-day cancels may be charged 50% of the service to respect everyone's time.
Can I wax if I take retinoids or am on Accutane?
No on Accutane (and for 6 months after — the skin is too fragile). For topical retinoids, just pause for 3–5 days before your appointment and we're good. Always tell us at booking what you're taking.
